Dorman, Long and Company

The Middlesbrough steelmaker that absorbed Bolckow, Vaughan in 1929 and took on its Cleveland ironstone mines with it. Dorman Long is best remembered for what it built with the steel: the Sydney Harbour Bridge, completed in 1932, and the Tyne Bridge before it.
