Bairds & Dalmellington Ltd
Bairds & Dalmellington Ltd was formed in 1931 by merging William Baird & Co's Ayrshire coal interests with the Dalmellington Iron Company, together controlling around 70% of the Ayrshire coalfield. Its mines were nationalised into the National Coal Board's Scottish Division in 1947 and the company was wound up in 1953.
