Somerset quarrying company founded in 1923, which under its chairman John Yeoman responded to the 1976 Verney report by buying the Glensanda estate in 1982 and developing the superquarry there from 1986, together with a fleet of self-discharging bulk carriers to move its output. The firm was acquired by the Swiss Holcim group in 2006.
