British Portland Cement Manufacturers

The cement combine, later trading as Blue Circle, which bought Magheramorne in 1911 and began building a cement plant there immediately; it ran the works through four rotary kilns until the last was shut down in 1980, and continued grinding imported clinker on the site until 1984.
