A repairer barring down the roof and a haulier watching him were killed by a fall at Windsor Colliery, Abertridwr, on 5 February 1910.

Cause

A post dislodged while loose roof was being barred down.

What happened

On 5 February 1910 Thomas Jenkins, 44, a repairer, had gone into another collier's stall at Windsor Colliery and was barring down loose top when a post was knocked out and the roof fell. He was killed, and so was the haulier Owen Williams, 23, who was standing watching him.
