What happened

On 18 August 1893 a shaft was being sunk at Warren House, north of Rawmarsh, for John Brown and Co. Three of the sinkers, Benjamin Holme Robinson, Thomas Stoddart and James Walsh, fell out of the trunk in the sinking shaft and were killed.
