A bronze First World War plaque to the 125 men of Wath Main Colliery killed in the Great War, now in All Saints Church, Wath upon Dearne.
The mining history in this record
Wath Main Colliery lost 125 of its men in the First World War. Their memorial is a bronze plaque with a nowy head, a laurel wreath above the text and a column at each side topped with swags. It reads: 'To the glorious memory of the men of the Wath Main Colliery whose names are recorded here who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918', and closes 'Their name liveth for evermore'.
The names are listed by surname with initials.
