Walter Scott Ltd.

Newcastle-upon-Tyne contracting firm founded by Walter Scott, which bought Trimdon Grange and the adjoining East Hetton (Kelloe) colliery in August 1880 and invested heavily in new plant. Scott was the owner at the time of the 1882 explosion and gave evidence relating to it.
