Mitchell Main Colliery Company

The Wombwell company, trading as Mitchell Main Coal Co. and later Mitchell Main Colliery Co., Ltd., that owned both Mitchell Main and Darfield Main collieries until nationalisation in 1947; in 1933 it moved its whole permitted quota to Darfield Main and closed Mitchell Main.
