Hazlerigg and Burradon Coal Co. Ltd

Formed by 1929 with a registered office at Akenside House, Newcastle upon Tyne, working Hazlerigg, Burradon and Weetslade collieries for a combined output of about 600,000 tons a year. Its directors included Sidney Bates, who was also its mining engineer, and Clive Cookson. The Durham Mining Museum records the name as Hazelrigg and Burradon Coal Co., Ltd.
