MineArchiveCossall Colliery Company
The company that worked Cossall Colliery east of Ilkeston from about 1880, later Cossall Colliery Co. Ltd, and which also held Trowell Moor Colliery at Stanton Gate by 1900. Alfred Hewlett, known locally as Colonel Hewlett, was its managing director. Its operations passed to the National Coal Board on 1 January 1947.
