Occurs on Mars in sufficient quantity to sustain a large, decades-running mining operation, worked across at least four numbered mine sections of the Ultor Mining Complex. No specific vein, deposit or geological context is given in canon beyond its general presence on the planet.

How it's obtained

Raised from underground workings and processed at surface smelters, ore hoppers and crushers before being shipped to Earth; no smelting or refining process is described in any further detail.
