William Williams Jones
A draper from Tywyn who was among the group of local men that opened Tonfanau Quarry in 1892. He attempted to open several other quarries in the district — Dolgoch, Melinllynpair and Nantcynog — all of which were unsuccessful, making Tonfanau his only enduring mining venture.
