William Evans and Company

Owners of the Old Mills and Springfield collieries at Paulton and Midsomer Norton. The firm is returned against Old Mills in the official 1880 list of collieries at work, against Springfield in the mine inspectors’ list of 1908, and still appears in the 1922 list of colliery undertakings; it held both pits until nationalisation.
