Stratford Dugdale family (Merevale)

The Warwickshire landowning family of Merevale Hall, who bought the land and mineral rights of Baxterley Hall in 1848 and sank Baddesley Colliery two years later. William Stratford Dugdale, the owner in 1882, went down the pit himself during the rescue attempt and was one of the thirty-two who died.
