Société Anonyme des Mines de Frongoch

The Société Anonyme des Mines de Frongoch took over the Frongoch lead and zinc mine in Ceredigion in 1897; a Belgian buyer, the Société Anonyme Métallurgique de Liège, invested heavily in a hydro-electric power station and new dressing mill from 1899, but the venture failed and the mine closed in 1902.
