Shotts Iron Company Limited

A major Scottish iron and coal company with blast furnaces at Shotts in Lanarkshire and collieries across Lanarkshire and the Lothians. It held Ramsay Colliery at Loanhead from 1865, and also owned Mauricewood, where 63 men and boys died in the fire of 1889.
