Sewart and Handley

James Wearing Sewart and George Handley, who worked mines around Garsdale and took the Clintsfield lease in November 1853 for £65 a year; Sewart found the capital, reopened the pit in March 1855 and was in the hands of trustees for his creditors by April 1856.
