Prestongrange Coal and Iron Company
The company that ran the colliery through its Victorian expansion and which, in 1874, bought a worked-out Cornish beam engine from Cornwall and had Harvey and Company of Hayle fit it with a new beam and ship it to Scotland to pump the pit.
