Moelferna and Dee Side Slate and Slab Quarries Company

Formed in 1876 to buy both the Deeside quarry, which the 1870 Dee Side Slate and Slab Quarry Ltd had sold the year before, and the neighbouring Moelfferna quarry. It ran the pair for the rest of their working lives; its chairman after the First World War was Percy Dean, Member of Parliament for Blackburn.
