Mathew Ryley

A Lastingham collier who took the almost exhausted Sled Shoe lime-coal pits on Blakey Ridge from the Duncombe estate in 1792, shut them up in 1796 and went into partnership with John Featherston at Blakey from 1797 to 1801.
