Lord Ravensworth and Partners

The partnership of Thomas Liddell, Lord Ravensworth, and his associates — the 'Grand Allies' successors among the Tyneside coal owners — who sank Springwell Colliery from 1821 and owned it at the time of both its great explosions. The partnership also built the Bowes Railway to carry its coal to the Tyne.
