Lathkill Dale Mining Company

The company that built Bateman's House in 1830 over its main pumping shaft and drove the mine's most ambitious phase of investment — an experimental Dakeyne water-powered engine followed by a large waterwheel and aqueduct — before large-scale working ceased in 1841-42.
