Keswick Mining Company

The company that worked most of the mines around Keswick in the mid 19th century. It acquired Barrow in 1847, reopened two of its levels and raised 300 tons of ore from old ground between 1854 and 1857, then closed the mine in 1858 rather than fund exploration, being in financial difficulty.
