James Sparrow and Son
The firm of the ironmaster James Sparrow of Gwersyllt Hill, who took over the Ffrwd colliery and ironworks in 1855 and built the combined works into one of the largest industrial concerns in North Wales; it traded as Sparrow and Poole from about 1859 and closed the works in 1904, two years after his death.
