James Oakes and Company
The Riddings ironmasters and colliery owners of south-east Derbyshire who sank the Jacksdale pit that became Pye Hill Colliery in 1874, and whose ironworks drew the village of Jacksdale around it; later James Oakes and Co. (Riddings Collieries) Ltd, until nationalisation on 1 January 1947.
