Holly Bank Coal Co. Ltd

Formed in 1891 to take over Essington Wood Colliery, which it renamed Holly Bank; under J. C. Forrest it became one of the larger producers around Essington, sank Hilton Main from 1920, and was sold in 1932 after its debenture holders failed to find a buyer in 1930.
