Harvey Stone

The firm working the southern, Norton quarry on Ham Hill, taking stone from some 20 to 30 metres below the surface. It reopened the quarry about fifteen years ago, the pit having been abandoned in the 1930s when the masons on the hill judged that no good quality stone remained.
