Harris and Pearson
Firebrick makers of Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill, established about 1850 by Peter Harris and George Pearson and making firebricks, gas retorts and glass-house pots. They bought the Brettell Lane House and Hawbush estates in 1866, erected new nine-acre works in 1870 and held mining rights over about a hundred acres, reopening the Nagersfield pits and building their own electric railway to the works. Their 1888 office and weigh house is listed grade II.
