Hargreaves Collieries Ltd

Registered in 1933, with offices at Bank Parade, Burnley, to take over the collieries of the Altham Colliery Company (1924) Ltd, the Executors of John Hargreaves Ltd and George Hargreaves & Co. Ltd under a Board of Trade amalgamation scheme; it also owned the Lancashire Foundry Coke Co. and worked the Arley, King, Blindstone and Mountain seams around Burnley and Accrington.
