H. B. Whitehouse and Sons

Ironmasters and colliery owners at West Hallam in Derbyshire, whose West Hallam Coal and Iron works combined collieries, an ironworks and brickworks north of High Lane. The ironworks lease ran from 1848 to 1886 and the furnaces themselves stopped in 1881; by the time the firm left, most of the shallow coal measures had been worked out. Thomas Whitehouse & Son is recorded as owner of the neighbouring Kirk Hallam Colliery in 1875.
