Great Western Colliery Co. Ltd.

Formed in 1865 as Great Western & Fowlers United Collieries Ltd. and renamed in October 1866, re-registered under the same name after a reconstruction liquidation in 1878. It sank the Hetty shaft and Nos. 2 and 3, deepened Tymawr, and ran the colliery through the 1893 disaster and the expansion that followed, until Powell Duffryn took it over in 1928.
