Glamorgan Coal Company

Founded by the Scottish mining engineer Archibald Hood, who sank Glamorgan Colliery's first pits at Llwynypia in 1861-62 and expanded it to six shafts by 1873; absorbed into the Cambrian Combine in 1908.
