F. Flower and Sons
Lime burners at Gurney Slade on the Mendips, credited by some accounts with starting there in 1873 and recorded as expanding the quarry considerably after 1928 to feed their limekilns. The company later specialised in mineral powders and powder haulage and is still based at Gurney Slade, processing limestone filler collected from quarries across England and Wales.
