Cleveland Potash Ltd

Cleveland Potash Ltd was formed in 1968 by ICI, Charter Consolidated and Anglo American to develop the Boulby potash deposit near Whitby; production began in 1973. Ownership passed through Anglo American and Minorco before Israel Chemicals Ltd (ICL) acquired the mine in 2002.
