Charles and Thomas Bagnall
Took over as proprietors of the Grosmont ironworks from 1862, building two new blast furnaces by 1863 and a third in 1876, and buying out the Whitby Stone Company's mines and, in 1864, Mrs Clark's mine to secure their own ore supply. Ran the works through its 1865-75 peak until closure in 1891.
