Braich Goch Slate Quarry Ltd

The company that worked Braich Goch through its Victorian peak. Wikipedia's account has the Birley family purchasing the lease in 1859 and establishing Braich Goch Slate Quarry Ltd, which absorbed the neighbouring Gaewern quarry in 1880; the Corris Mine Explorers history instead dates the Braich Goch Slate Quarry Company to 1864. Under either name it employed 250 men by 1878 and over 350 at the 1890s peak, and it collapsed in 1906.
