Bewick and Partners
Formed after Thomas Bewick obtained a lease of the minerals in Langley Barony, part of the Greenwich Hospital estate near Haydon Bridge, in 1868 and was joined by a group of local businessmen. The firm is returned in the 1888 List of Mines as owner of the Langley Barony mine, then working lead ore, barytes and whinstone.
