Beauchamp family collieries

The Beauchamp family of Midsomer Norton, principally Sir Frank Beauchamp, 1st Baronet (1866-1950), and his brother Louis, who between them held Norton Hill and other collieries on the Somerset coalfield along with a coal distribution business, a wagon works and a gasworks. Their pits were known locally as the Beauchamp goldmines.
