B. Whitaker and Sons
A Leeds quarrying firm — recorded by Grace's Guide at Horsforth in 1907, and by 1927 at Albion Street in the city — which worked Bramley Fall Quarry in its last years. Quarrying on that hillside above the Leeds and Liverpool Canal had gone on since at least the 12th century, and its gritstone had gone into Westminster Bridge, the Euston Arch and the sea defences at Dover; it ceased under this firm around 1930. No fuller company history is recorded.
