Cause
A fall of roof on an old road while the men were withdrawing props.
What happened
John Fraser, aged 29, and Robert Miller, aged 20, both roadsmen, were killed by a fall of roof on an old road while withdrawing props at Highhouse No. 1 pit, then worked by William Baird and Co.
