Cause
A heavy fall of roof at the gate-end, which broke down the bars and other timber.
What happened
Thomas Bamford, aged 52, and Arthur Briddon, aged 16, both datallers, were building a pack wall at the gate-end when a heavy fall of roof occurred and broke down the bars and other timber, killing them.
