Mines in Argyll

A large and historically fragmented Scottish county on the west coast, whose mining history is scattered and largely metalliferous -- most notably the lead-mining district around Strontian in Ardnamurchan, which also gave its name to the mineral strontianite and, in turn, the element strontium.
