Wright, Butler and Co. Ltd

Steel manufacturers and colliery owners at Gowerton, grown out of the Elba Steel Works Company formed in 1878 by Colonel John Roper Wright, Isaac Butler and Roger Beck. The firm held Elba Colliery from about 1896 until Baldwins bought the mine and the works in 1902.
