The Lenzie company that worked Woodilee Colliery through its coking-coal years to 1930, and also held Meiklehill Colliery near Kirkintilloch, where a fatal firedamp explosion in 1918 produced the Court of Session compensation appeal Woodilee Coal and Coke Co Ltd v Mrs Robertson.
