Wentworth Silkstone Collieries Ltd

The company that drove two drift entrances into Badger Wood near Hood Green in 1911, on ground where shafts sunk to the Silkstone seam in 1856 had been given up in 1887. Reconstituted as Wentworth Silkstone Collieries (1919) Ltd, it held the mine until nationalisation in 1947.
