Troedyrhiw Coal Company

The company that opened and worked Ynysfeio Colliery at Treherbert from the early 1850s; its principals were James Thomas of Ynyshir, Thomas Thomas, William Cope, John Lewis and David Jones, and it was returned as Cope and Co. in 1880. Registered as Troedyrhiw Coal Co. Ltd, it came under D. R. Llewellyn's control in 1919 and passed to Powell Duffryn about 1927.
