Strontian Mining Company

Formed in 1846 under Capt. John Barratt, with John Taylor of Fort William as its mainstay, to rework the Whitesmith, Middleshop and Bellsgrove mines; extended the Grand Level and deepened Bellsgrove's Engine Shaft before ceasing work around 1850.
