Stevenson, Jaques and Company

Cleveland ironstone mineowners who held the Boosbeck lease from 1872 to 1887 and appear in the 1880s Lists of Mines as Jacques, Stevenson & Co. Locally the mine was called Stivvy's after them. The company took over the landowner's properties and liabilities after the 1883 subsidence litigation, and gave up the mine in 1887 when it could not fund the pumping the water demanded.
