Sir Watkin Williams Wynn

Of Wynnstay; the landowner closely associated with the Trefarclawdd and Llwynymaen pits, which were known in their early years as Sir Watkin's Collieries. In 1801 he supplied grain at a reduced price to his colliers there for nearly a year during the corn scarcity.
